What's your name and where are you from?

Mel, I’m from Birmingham

Please can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m 33, I live with my partner, our 12 year old daughter with our cat Dexter and Pug Jack. I’m currently working from home full time as an Operations lead.

How long have you been a member of Profit Accumulator?

Since January 2021.

Can you remember how you first heard about Matched Betting and what you initially thought about it? What convinced you to give it a go?

I heard about matched betting through a budgeting Facebook group. I was looking for a side hustle. It initially sounded too good to be true (free money!?), so gave the free trial ago and was hooked.

Had you ever placed a bet before Matched Betting? Did you know anything about sports at all?

I’d place a tenner on the Grand National but that’s about it.

How easy or difficult did you find it to learn Matched Betting?

To start with I found the videos really helpful. I remember my first bet took about an hour as I kept pausing, rewinding, writing it all down! Within a couple of days I’d got a hang of the basics though.

What was your starting bankroll (or cash float)?

How much profit have you made so far?

I’ve made nearly £2000 to date, it’s also changed my personal mindset to money. All those £1-£2 profits add up! Just £10 a day is £300 a month

Have you bought anything nice? Or are you saving up for something special?

I’ve paid off all of my overdraft and credit card debt - something I never dreamed I would be able to do. I’ve also been able to put away holiday spending money. I’m now planning to start using my profits for a house deposit.

Do your family and friends understand how you have made the money?

Yes, they were skeptical at first and didn’t understand it. Now they are keen to get onboard too!

Are you a person that tracks everything or do you just roughly tot up your total profits every week or so?

I track everything as I go using the profit tracker.

How much time do you think you spend Matched Betting? When do you tend to do most of your Matched Betting?

I probably spend an hour a day, with the occasional week or two off.

What kind of offers do you do to make money now?

love Coral’s beaten by a length - if your horse wins, you might also get a good BOG. I also regularly do the bet and gets. I’ve just started to do 2up’s now the Football seasons returned.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of starting Matched Betting?

Take your time, it’s a marathon not a sprint. Take every offer you can, no matter how small it all adds up.

What would you say to people who think Matched Betting is a scam, gambling or too good to be true?

I did too, do the free trial and see if it changes your mindset.

What advice and tips would you give to a new PA member who has just started Matched Betting?

Watch the videos, then watch them again! Always check you have selected ‘against’ in the exchange too.

What advice and tips would you give to a new PA member who's just about to start doing reload offers?

Don’t panic if you get gubbed. I recently lost Paddy Power and was gutted. But I’m still easily making £300-£400 a month. I also try and bet over the required amount too if there’s a low QL. So if it’s a £10 qualifying bet, I’ll put £12-£15 on. It also works in your favour if you hit a BOG.
